Kisaku is about 20 km far from Nyandiwa, 2000 meters high, on the borders of the equatorial forest, where is the source of the aqueduct built in 1991 after a long phase of persuasion of Kisaku people to let them to take the precious water from the spring. In return the Kisaku people asked to the Brownsea Foundation an help to build a medical dispensary, because the nearest centre far medical assistance, was 100 km from either villages. They can go there only by a track climbing up to the mountain, with some high slopes. The works started and the definitive structure is a buildings of 3 rooms with 20 beds, a room for medical inspections and one for the therapies. Another buildings is for the medic staff. The dispensary is linked to the aqueduct, built for initiative of the Brownsea Foundation, it sends drinkable water to the village school. This project has been realized "together": the local people gave free the soil where to build the dispensary, now self managed by local expert personnel, with the satisfaction of population.
